Bringing home a new puppy is a massive responsibility and for some can be quite daunting. There is a lot that we can get wrong with owning a new puppy, from choosing the wrong breed/type for your family, incorrect socialisation and training, incorrect feeding and general care of puppy as well as a whole host of behavioural problems that we can instil in our puppies from a very early age.
But don’t worry as all the staff at Clarendon House are on hand to give you the guidance you need from purchasing through to adulthood and all life stages. We run a puppy socialisation group monthly for puppies from first vaccination until 16 weeks of age. This is a very important time for puppies to gain confidence around other puppies their own age and it is very important that this experience is a positive one. We take great care that all our puppies go away happy, more confident dogs after their four week course completion.
The group is also open to prospective puppy owners to experience some of the puppy ‘chit chat’ and see just how lively they can be before committing to owning a puppy.
If you would like any further information on our puppy group please contact the reception team directly and they will be happy to help.
